The Pensar story

Established in Brisbane in 2000 by Managing Director Karl Yunker, Pensar has the experience, extensive capabilities, and a history of delivering quality outcomes, but it is our internal culture of giving the extra 10% that sets us apart.

But being ‘infrastructure people’ goes beyond creating infrastructure.

In commercial terms, Pensar creates infrastructure for clients. In human terms, we create the infrastructure for people to use in their daily lives. We construct the infrastructure that makes a better way of life possible for families, industry, and businesses.

Our clients know that we empathize with their need to satisfy their customers and that we understand the demands they place on us to achieve an outstanding result for that purpose.

Culture & vibe

This culture encompasses our entire operation from the quality of our people and our project delivery, our approach to health, safety, and the environment, to each interaction with our clients, suppliers, and members of the community. In essence, we aim to exceed expectations in all that we do.

Our safety record is a direct result of our company-wide commitment to safety.

Workers Compensation Premiums are viewed as a key indicator of an organization’s safety performance as they are based on several factors including compensation claims. Pensar maintains a premium level well below the construction industry rate due to our proven workplace health & safety systems and culture.

Safety is our highest priority and our premium rates are evidence of this fact.

Pensar recently commenced construction of the Wamuran Irrigation Scheme – a groundbreaking water recycling and sustainable irrigation strategy for a rapidly developing population center and agricultural region in South-East Queensland.

The seeds of the Wamuran Irrigation Scheme were first planted in 2019 when Pensar spearheaded the concept in collaboration with the region’s two largest growers – Piñata Farms and Twin View Turf – to work with service provider Unitywater from the EOI phase. The scheme sees Pensar designing and building a 22 km pipeline network and pumping infrastructure to deliver some 2.6 gigalitres of Class A water per year to the region’s growers.
