There’s no feeling quite like knowing that a piece of work you’ve spent weeks or months on has changed a team member’s unique experience at work every day, for the better.

What gets you springing out of bed in the morning?

I love working in the people & culture space for Coles, especially on project work because any initiative we set into motion – whether it’s aimed at making things a little better for our team or for our customers – will have a positive impact on hundreds of stores and thousands of people.

What has been the most rewarding aspect?

Hearing verbatim feedback from our regional people & culture managers when a project lands. There’s no feeling quite like knowing that a piece of work you’ve spent weeks or months on has changed a team member’s unique experience at work every day, for the better.

What advice would you give other grads?

Dive in. If there’s something you’re passionate about that your employer isn’t looking at; raise it. If there’s a piece of work you’d like to support; put your hand up to help. If there’s a skill you’d like training in; ask. If there’s someone you’d love to talk to, no matter how senior; reach out, buy them a coffee. You’re building the foundations of your career – make sure it’s broad and excites you regarding what you can build on top in the future!
