Civil Engineer - Graduate Program (Jan 2025)

• kick off with a three-day all expenses paid conference on the Gold Coast with your peers
• engage in structured learning through three tailored modules on topics designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills

What you’ll do

As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll get the chance to explore multiple functions of the projects you work on to get an in-depth understanding of the core elements required for delivery. You will work as part of the team and play a key role in ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with quality, time, production, safety and environmental objectives of the project in line with our expectations as a business and the BMD way. 

During your time as a Graduate Engineer, you will get the opportunity to:

• learn about the drawings, specifications and quality, workplace health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) requirements for all site-related activities
• work as part of a team to ensure core project functions are being delivered, including purchasing materials, supporting financial functions, submitting progress claims, assisting with quality monitoring and contributing to creating solutions where needed
• maintain a daily diary outlining details of site meetings, discussions, works performed, and inspections
• actively participate in training initiatives and skill development programs.

To be successful, you will have strong decision-making and communication skills, creative thinking and the drive to experience real hands-on work in the field. We are also looking for a graduate who can showcase resilience, enthusiasm and a passion for teamwork to achieve positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

To qualify for this position, you must have completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or graduating in 2024 or mid-2025). Candidates will require their own transport to the site.
