Being a part of Engineers Australia has allowed me to meet so many inspiring engineers who have done some amazing work. This inspiration is so important because it gives me the motivation to be the best professional that I can be.

I am looking forward to new, different, challenging projects this year that allow me to improve outcomes in public infrastructure and innovate in the way we approach investment in infrastructure.

A part of my job includes estimating how many vehicle trips a new development will generate, and how we can distribute these trips for better traffic management and flow.

There have been plenty of structured learning opportunities from structured sessions with technical directors to training courses, all of which have helped to further my knowledge and skills.

I am responsible for conducting research on sustainability issues and trends, analysing data and information, and providing insights and recommendations to clients.

Embrace every opportunity – There are so many clubs, networking events and workshops available at universities. Additionally, get involved with industry associations and their events. Having a network of people within the industry that you want to work in is extremely beneficial.
