The Wipro Story

Wipro Limited is an Indian Information Technology and Consulting company that was incorporated in 1945. It is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, and has a registered office in Mumbai.

The Company's founder was Mohamed Premji, an Indian business tycoon. He was born on 12 September 1914 in Amritsar. He died on 28 July 2009 at the age of 94 years.

On 12 September 1945, Mohamed Premji started Wipro Limited with a capital of Rs.10,000 on his dining table along with two of his friends and brother-in-law. 

The Company's net income increased from $0.6 billion to $4.5 billion over 20 years, with a compound annual growth rate of 24% between 1998 and 2008. In 2015 Wipro reported revenues of $6.5 billion and a net profit of $1.16 billion.

Recruitment Process

Wipro conducts its recruitment process in two phases: Online Assessment and Technical Interview. The first phase of the recruitment process consists of a series of online tests. These tests are typically multiple choice questions (MCQs) related to various subjects like mathematics, general aptitude, and logical reasoning. 

In the second phase, candidates will have to go through technical interviews, which senior technical team members conduct. These interviews generally last for 30 minutes to an hour, but the time can vary depending on the position.
