About Teach for Australia

Teach For Australia was founded in 2009 to fight educational inequity, and we do this through people like you.

Did you know that compared to other similarly wealthy nations, Australia consistently comes almost last for equality in education?

Did you also know that strong educational outcomes lead to better health and more social cohesion, inclusion and trust for all of us?

At Teach For Australia, we believe all young people deserve a choice in their future. And we believe in the transformative power of great teachers.

Our award-winning Leadership Development Program means you’ll work as a teacher in a secondary school serving a low socioeconomic community.

Work with us to learn about yourself, build your leadership skills, find your purpose and make an impact from day 1.

All while inspiring the next generation of young people.
