Diversity at Ixom New Zealand

7.1
7.1 rating for Diversity, based on 7 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
From looking at the organisation chart I would suggest perhaps more emphasis and encouragement for female promotions into executive positions as there do not seem to be many females in leadership positions. I believe the maternity leave offered is the minimum as per Australian standards.

I think the company is quite gender diverse and it certainly seems that they aren't opposed to being a diverse company

Generally a good mix of gender, a great mix of ethnic minorities, not a huge representation of the LGBT community.

We hire diversely with both men and women and ethnic groups. I am not aware of an LGBT diversity but I don't hear of any discrimination. The company is pushing for internal hiring but may be quite bias toward promoting people with degrees or having a degree as a requirement.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Providing a relocation allowance is a great way to help bring in applicants from rural areas.

I am not aware of anything being done in this area. We mainly recruit graduates from university.
